This highest-grade Emerson piano is made of Brazilian Rosewood and is carved in the Rococo Victorian style. Based on the serial number this piano was built in 1866. It is considered one of Emerson’s highest-grades and most elaborate square grands. It would be more fabulous with a professional restoration. The size is 6’5.5” wide by 3’2.25” deep and 3’2.25” high. This piano has 85 ivory note keyboards. A full 88-note keyboard was not standard until closer to 1900. Also, your piano has more carved detail than the lower-grade models. Because of their high cost when new, these top-of-the-line pianos were built in small numbers and are quite rare today.
