This beautiful antique grand piano is a rare find. It was manufactured by the Heintzman & Company of Toronto in 1886 and this was one of their most elaborate square grand models of the Rococo Victorian era. They are known for making some of the finest pianos in history.
This piano is made of Brazilian Rosewood which is now an endangered species and is very difficult to get today. This is one of few remaining and it is very desirable as a result. It is fascinating to think that with the endangered Brazilian Rosewood, this piano simply couldn’t be built today!
The piano, in such good condition at this age, is a testament to the quality that went into building it 135 years ago. Some of the false ivory keys are missing and some need to be reglued. It also needs to be tuned. It is paired with a beautiful matching piano adjustable stool.
A fully restored model range from $30,000 USD to $55,000 USD
