This Kawai bearing the serial number 318708 was made in Hamamatsu, Japan in 1969. It was purchased from the Kawai dealer brand new in 1969. It moved to from San Jose to San Francisco about 10 years ago where it has been lovingly cared for by its owner and a technician from the Piano Technicians Guild.
The piano has been tuned at least once (sometimes twice) a year and was recently traded in for a Fazioli at R. Kassman. It features original ivory keys that are in mint condition. The finish of the piano does not seem to have any discolorations as you would expect in a piano of this age. The strings and hammers show very little sign of wear.
If you are looking for a REALLY pretty semi-concert size piano then this is the one. It is perfect for the right decor OR advanced piano player that is looking for a very good sound and key response. This one is a treasure. Satin Walnut and semi-concert size is an unusual find.
For over 40 years R. Kassman Piano has represented the finest European Pianos on the planet. Today the philosophy of selling pianos has remained the same: Find the right piano for the customer and offer the lowest price possible for the best instrument possible.
