This Steinway model A 6’2″ grand piano was manufactured in 1909 (serial number 137407) features a stunning hand-rubbed satin mahogany finish. The rebuilder, one of the top Master Technicians on the West Coast for state-of-the-art processes, transformed this vintage piano into a showroom quality masterpiece.
The cabinet alone stands on its own as a work of art, with its decorative lyre and placement of original parts, precisely aligned for a tight fit. The meticulous nature of this rebuild is simply incredible. Each part of the cabinet was hand-finished for a VERY unique look for a VERY unique piano.
The soundboard, bridges and pin block are original. The strings along with all necessary action parts have been replaced. The hammers were replaced using Hamburg Steinway hammers to produce its unique beautiful singing tone.
The iron plate was refinished and hand -lettered leaving an authentic look. All felts and other necessary components were replaced as needed. This beautiful instrument is nothing short of a trophy piano: it will be admired for its looks before the first note is played. Simply AWESOME!
