This 85-note Steinway B grand piano has an especially beautiful sound, with a rich bass and clear upper register. It was completely rebuilt by one of the top NYC workshops, A.C. Pianocraft, in 2002. Steinway did not make an 88-note B until 1891. It is in all other regards the equal of later model B grands. It has a new pinblock and soundboard, plus new bridge caps, strings, tuning pins, and all genuine NY Steinway action parts. The original ivory key tops have been removed and replaced with high-quality plastic, standard since the 1970s. Refinished with the traditional black satin lacquer, it has only a few minor imperfections attesting to being in a home environment. There is only a little apparent wear on the action due to very light use. It has been well maintained at room temperature, away from the sun and direct heat, and at ideal humidity around 40-50%. Artists bench, climate control system, first in-home tuning, and ground floor delivery within 50 miles included. You may play and compare it with other fine Steinway grands at our workshop showroom in Great Barrington, MA.
