PRICE REDUCTION! Needing to downsize: this one owner 1983 Kawai concert grand piano has been maintained in my home in a humidity controlled environment. In mint condition, not a scratch on its high gloss ebony finish and hammers showing very little wear, the action is extremely efficient and dampers are quick to stop the strings. Unlike newer Kawai pianos this instrument has NO PLASTIC action parts. Kawai at this time modeled their concert grand after Boesendorfer - each string is individually tied and it holds perfect tune even after 11 years since last tuning! (My technician recently examined it and it's at A=439). When built it was the top of the line Kawai model available, the famed pianist Marta Argerich being a Kawai artist. Exceptionally stable it has hardly been played and has amazingly brilliant treble and thundering bass coupled with Kawai's characteristic long singing sustain. New retail price is close to $200,000 but I'm asking the price of a new 6' Kawai, $35K. Tuning included upon delivery.
