What is below is the notes we received from he appraiser, from Pacey's Pianos in Vancouver.
"The brand of the piano is Yamaha, C5, 6'7". The general condition of the piano is very clean, almost pristine. According to the serial number 4212562, the year is 1985.
The positive aspects are all around. No crack on soundboard, pin block, bridge, iron cast, and all the parts, such as strings, dampers, pedals, pins, action, etc. are all in good condition. The key is ivory, which is rare.
The negative aspects are that the keys are a little bit dirty, and the pitch is 10 cents flat, which would need two tuning sessions. The above could be fixed easily.
With the above condition, I would conclude that the market value of the piano would be around $20,000 to $25,000."
