This fine piano was purchased new from Steinway & Sons in NYC by an amateur pianist for personal use at his part-time home in the Berkshires. Hence, there is little wear inside and out. It has an especially rich, warm tone with a big dynamic range. It is the best sounding Boston grand we've heard -- superior to Yamaha and Kawai grands of the same size. At 7'2" it has the potential for public performance as well as private use. The soundboard, bridges, strings and tuning pins are in excellent condition. The action is even and smooth, fully regulated and voiced. Tuning is stable at A440. The satin ebony case is in very good (though not perfect) condition. The cost is less than half the current new price of $53K. The price includes a matching cushioned bench and music lamp. Price includes ground-floor delivery within 50 miles, bench, climate control system, and one on-site tuning. The piano may be played in the Flynn Pianos home showroom in Great Barrington, MA.
