This 1941 model has been lovingly cared for by the same family since 1954. It was purchased for their 16 year old daughter who aspired to become a classical pianist. Ivory keys, strings, and soundboard are original. The wood is mahogany and has been stripped and refinished. Pads were replaced and tuning is up to date. The rich sound can only come from a Steinway!
The leather is a soft cowhide with a beautifully embossed western floral design. All silver pieces and conchos are sterling silver and custom made for this piano. The hand engraved pieces are a combination of filigree and flat surfaces for the vintage look that blends with the age and style of the piano. Matching bench is included.
