This piano was made in South Korea in 2002 by Samick Pianos but to design specifications from the celebrated Knabe & Co. of yesteryear. Knabe pianos are among the top 4 most sought after American made pianos along with Steinway, Baldwin, and Mason & Hamlin. It has a handsome Satin finish.
This is a piano larger than 6 feet and so qualifies as a "grand" (not baby grand). You should purchase the largest piano that your budget allows because what most people don't realize is that the larger a piano is the more expressively it can be played. The longer a piano's keys, the easier it is to control the musical "dynamics" (i.e. softness and loudness). Ever wonder why recordings of concert pianists sound utterly different? It's because of the masterful subtlety of their dynamics. Choices have been made about virtually every single note of a piece and when successfully rendered the result is stunning.
